How do I install / unlock my software on a new computer?

This article applies to Xara Web Designer+, Xara Photo & Graphic Designer+ and Xara Designer Pro+, subscription options of our most popular desktop titles, available direct from Xara.

Installing on a new computer is easy:

• Start by downloading a copy of the current version onto your new computer. See Where can I download the Xara trial versions?
• Install and run it on the new computer
• Click Activate Now and enter the email address and password you used to subscribe to your Xara software. You should see a 'success' message.
• You're all set, return to your desktop software, click Continue and dive in!

Note: There is a limit to the number of devices you can simultaneously install on (depending on the product).  If you have reached the device limit, you'll see a pop-up alert. You can follow the link on that pop-up to request deactivation on one of your existing devices, to free up a copy for a new device.

Note 2: If you have just upgraded from an older version purchased from Magix, you cannot update from within that old version, you will need to download the new + version as described above.
