How do I reset the program settings? 

 

Revert to default settings

1. Run the Xara program 

2. Select Utilities >  Options and select the tune-ups tab 

3. Click the Default Settings button.  The program will require a restart to reset the settings

 

To reset settings for a fresh start, without starting the application, follow these steps:

  1. Hold down the Windows key and press R, to open the Run window.

  2. Type regedit and press enter, to start the Windows Registry editor

  3. Navigate to the following key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Xara

  4. Under the Xara key you should see one of the following keys, depending on which version of Xara Designer you are using:

    Product

    Key name

    		  

    Designer Pro+

    XtremeProSub x64

    		  

    Web Designer+

    WebDesignerPlus x64

    		  

    Photo & Graphic Designer+

    PhotoGraphicDesignerPlus x64

    		  

    Designer Pro (Perpetual version)

    XtremeProPerpetual x64

    		  

    Web Designer (Perpetual version)

    WebDesignerPerpetual x64

    		  

    Photo & Graphic Designer (Perpetual version)

    PhotoGraphicDesignerPerpetual x64

    		  


  5. Right-click on the appropriate key and choose Delete from the menu, to delete the key and all its sub-keys.

  6. Press Yes at the confirmation prompt.

  7. Close the Registry editor. IMPORTANT: Do not delete any other keys from the registry.
